I joined WP a few months ago when my nephew was diagnosed with autism. The more I read, especially the forums, the quicker i realized that I wasn't alone. I wasn't just "weird". I had finally found others like me. Most of my childhood and my life up to this year has been filled with much regret coming from the many tough situations and missed opportunities, and much sadness over my inability to change that. e
I guess this is step one.. knowing what your condition is. I see it as a hardship, sure.. but I don't see it as a disability. I work full time for a real estate services company, directly responsible for over 200 apartment, houses, retail outlets, and offices. I am hard working and productive and provide needed services to residents and I help them out in all sorts of emergencies. I guess I like bragging about that too lol.
more about myself... i'm 30, single (so typical), living on my own in NJ, and LOVING wp.
