Hello everyone. My name is Kris, but obviously my forum name is ProudWithAspergers. I chose this name because i'm one of the few people that i have heard of that is actually glad that they have it. I'm glad because I think that if i didn't have it, i just wouldnt be, well, me. I feel it's the kind of thing that defines what your are. I look forward to eventually meeting you guys on the forums :)

Yep I feel the same way too, one person asked me "if there was a pill you could take to remove your autism would you take it"

I said very quickly NO! , Whilst the negatives are bad, It is who we are, and I feel without it, I would cease to be who I am

Funny that there is a split of people who understand that, and those that do not ..

Hi - I'm a newb too. My son's aspie/gifted and I've always loved his perspective. Amongst other things it helps me to see things a different way which can only be a good thing. I say it's something of which to be proud too. Deborah
