Hello Kimmy,
I am new as well, and have also not been officially diagnosed. I feel, and I hope others correct me if I'm wrong, that Autism Spectrum Disorders can be very difficult to spot in some cases. I base this on having seen several therapists and psychiatrists, some of whom have raised the possibility of a spectrum disorder and some of whom haven't. Knowledge on the subject of autism does seem to be growing very fast at the moment, but perhaps not universally and uniformly. I think self-diagnosis or at least attempts at self-understanding and knowledge are in many ways the best resource many of us have. Anyway, welcome to the forum and hope you find what you are looking for here.
