My name is Greg, and I am pretty sure I have Asperger's. Well at least a good portion of the signs, and symptoms.

On that note I'll go back to my corner.

Dude, you are 50 years old. You should have more than a corner to escape society in by now.

You're a drummer from New Jersey? I'd love to hear some band stories! :D

Thank you for the welcome!

Yes I'm a drummer from NJ. I am no Neil Peart (though I do play a mean note for note YYZ). Never been in a band.. :( But I have played out a couple of times. Good thing I can't been seen from behind the kit...

I can see where joining a band may be a political game in itself. Heck, most of the "socializing" here on WP is para-social or one-way interaction, so it's great to hear someone respond to a personalized greeting. I tend to ask follow-up questions in these "meet and greet" threads to see which of the new members are more social than others.

Creative differences is the biggest cause of bands falling apart (just ask Neil Young). Yeah I'm kind of social. Electronic communication best suits me, except for the times I have to compose a work email. Everyday is a drain keeping oneself together. But I do it. But getting back to drumming I used to jam with an actual friend. Since his passing I've pretty much just jam to MP3's, and drumless tracks.
