I'd really like to move to New Zealand, but I've never been there. Have you ever seen a kakapo?

Only at the zoo. From memory they're found on the South Island.
No reason why you shouldn't move here, it's a lovely place and... no snakes! One, rare spider than can do you a mischief; the katipo. Related to the red back but not as venomous.

I was in Paraparaumu quite a few years ago to catch a steam train excursion to Masterton. Was pretty foggy so didn't see much

Cool! We get lots of steam through here. I live about 300 yards from the line but I don't get to see them. There's a big hill in the way.
