Nah, they call them gumboots here rather than wellingtons. Not sure what they're callefd elsewhere though.

I'd really like to move to New Zealand, but I've never been there. Have you ever seen a kakapo? :)

Only at the zoo. From memory they're found on the South Island.

No reason why you shouldn't move here, it's a lovely place and... no snakes! One, rare spider than can do you a mischief; the katipo. Related to the red back but not as venomous.

I was in Paraparaumu quite a few years ago to catch a steam train excursion to Masterton. Was pretty foggy so didn't see much :)

Cool! We get lots of steam through here. I live about 300 yards from the line but I don't get to see them. There's a big hill in the way. :(
