Hobbies and Interests: Doctor Who. Photography. Flowers. Ocean. Aurora Borealis. Mermaids. Faeries. Animals. Environmentalism. Thunderstorms.
Why are you here? Boredom.
When were you diagnosed? I was diagnosed when I was 11, so 2001 or 2002.
Other professional diagnoses: Borderline personality disorder, 2012.
Self diagnoses: Dyscalculia.
Favorite subjects: Like school subjects? They were art, biology and geography. If I was still in high school, I'd add history to that list.
Year/Grade: Dropped out in 11th grade, yay me! Worst mistake ever.
Favorite music: Nightwish, Tarja Turunen, Bat For Lashes, Fever Ray, Eivor Palsdottir, Two Steps From Hell, Rammstein, and plenty other bands. I also love opera, and enjoy indie folk, indie rock and chillstep.
Books: I used to read a lot when I was younger, but I've been too wrapped up in the internet lately. The Host was a great book. The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa, and all of Ellen Hopkins' books are amazing. I have a long list of books I want to read, so hopefully I can pry myself away from the computer at some point.
TV shows/Movies: Obsessed with Doctor Who!! Lord of the Rings is my favorite movie. Breaking Bad, Big Bang Theory and Dexter are amazing shows. Phantom of the Opera, all of Tim Burton's movie, Finding Nemo, Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Prince of Egypt, etc.
Instrument: I don't play anything, but if I had the ability to read music, I'd play piano and violin. Maybe cello. I love my classical music.
Do you like sports? Not particularly. I'll watch a hockey game if it's all that's on.
Family: My husband, Mike, thinks he's an Aspie. My mother, Cathy, and sister, Shayla, are NT's. My father, Paul, is more than likely an Aspie. My half brother, Damon (same dad), is a NT.
Clothing: I usually wear skinny jeans, and a pretty feminine shirt. Black converse shoes, or purple Uggs. I'm usually always wearing something purple, or leopard print. I'd describe my style as boho/hippie, with a touch of goth.
How did you find this website? I forget. I found it long ago. Likely in a Google search.
Job: Currently unemployed.
Plans for the future? In the process of immigrating to America from Canada, to be with my husband. I'd like to finish getting my high school diploma and go to university. Have a career that I really love. Then, once I have a steady income, maybe start a family with my husband. Just maybe. I've always wanted kids more than anything, but I'm starting to see things in a new light.
