Hi!
I've been surfing the net about Asperger's Syndrome for quite a while now. As I show in my profile I don't know if I have it or not, still, the result of the online test is
159/200 Aspie
44/200 neurotypical

I would have posted the graphic, but forum rules forbid it

I have made little research about how the test has been created and what logic is behind it yet, therefore I'm finding it difficult to understand exactly what it means.
Since i found around the net that Aspie have a tendency to feel more at ease with other aspies and I generally don't feel at ease at all with people in general, my boyfriend and I thought it wouldn't be a abad idea to join a forum and see how it goes.
We think being Aspie would explain and somehow solve many of the issues I've had socializing, I personally hope and wish tp find an answer, ANY answer that can help me live a better life.
The only time I talked about it with a so called expert was during councelling sessions, but the counceller said it didn't matter and to just try to find a way to be like everybody else. She sat me down and told me to immagine in which psychological circumstances I would have reacted in a way or another, it worked for simple things, but when it comes to more complex situations where emotions are involved my answer to the question would be extremely far from the one anyone else around me would give.

So... if anyone found time to throw in some thoughts about the results I got in the online test and it's reliability, I would be extremely thankful.

Well, the validity of online tests are often questioned, but it seems as though you may belong on the spectrum, particularly if you find yourself relating to a lot of people here.

Welcome :)

Thanks to both :)

There! That's exactly why I'm asking, I mean, most of the tests I've taken online were generally superficial or not reliable, still there are a few, very rare ones, that actually do give a good hint. My question is if this one could belong to the second sort or not. And that's why I'm here in the first place, given that i seem to "have" most of the "symptoms" (I really have a hard time considering autistic characteristica as symptoms of a disease of some sort, the two autistic kids I met in my life -the other autistic kind unluckily- were far clearer to understand then anybody else i met in my whole life)

Ps. I'm not a native speaker, I'm Italian, corrections are very welcome! Apologies for typos, those also depend on writing from my smartphone.
