Hello, everyone!
My name is Ringaile and I am NT living with Aspie parner. He is English and I am Lithuanian living in UK. We are together for 6 years now and just half year ago we found out that he has aspergers. It has been really a big shock and sort of relief at first, I guess now we are lost and struggling to go along with this. It’s painful to see him losing his will to live like this (I guess it came with realization he can’t do anything about it)–seems that life goes past without touching him. He’s more and more drowning in his obsession and less functions outside it (Wasn't that bad before he knew he has aspergers). He is seeing shrink time from time – but it doesn't seem to help him a great deal. Is there anything I can do :?:

Hello Ringaile, welcome to WP.

I am NT, although I do score quite highly in the aspergers online test. My sons have both been diagnosed with aspergers and my husband is borderline. I think the best way to go is to be patient and understanding. Hopefully your partner will come to terms with his diagnosis and things will become happier again.
