Hello, my name's Lamarr, is 17 and I'm from the UK.

At this current stage, I have evaluated but not diagnosed Asperger's syndrome but more recently, a diagnosed form of epilepsy (still in the process of what kind). I'm not as social as other teens around my age, as I still feel more comfortable in my own home though I tend to get rather lonely, especially seeing my old schoolmates with their collected photos. I am more gifted in the world of maths and technology (not a whizz kid but I do enjoy them), and I love to escape in my own created worlds with the help of good music (mostly humming and 'rocking' in the process).

Well, that's a start about me and hopefully, I did this right (I'm not good at introductions).

Hi Lemarr!

I'm new today too!
I know what you mean about seeing everyone else "happy" and feeling kind of left out and dejected. It's like watching life from the sidelines... but, it's important to remember that just because we aren't doing what everyone else is doing, we aren't "less" than they are. We just like different things! And I, like you, would rather be alone and at home. If that's what you're comfortable with, it doesn't matter what other people are doing!

You said that you like to escape into created worlds... me too! Do you write stories or just go your "happy place"? I find that my created realities are much more pleasant than the "real world". :P
I like music too: classic rock being one of my favorites!

Yeah, I did start writing about them but then I just escaped more and more and just found it easier to store them within my brain. It's a lovely feeling.

Welcome!
Yes, my own created world is a nice escape, too. I know what you mean. But I don´t write about them. It is MY world and I have it in my brain just for me.
