My name's Ryan and I'm 18 years old. I've never been OFFICIALLY diagnosed with AS, but my aunt, who happens to be an expert on this kind of thing, thinks I have it. (She only mentioned it to my Mom a couple times, but if she thinks I have Asperger's, that's pretty close to an official diagnosis, I'd say.) It was about 5 years ago when I first found out about Asperger's via her, and it intrigued me because I had always felt like I somehow didn't fit in with other kids my age. After doing a lot of research, I'm 100% sure I have it. There's not a doubt in my mind.
I had very few friends in high-school, most of them younger and of the "geek" variety like myself. My intrests revolve mostly around the arts and animation, and in real life, my Asperger's is something I don't normally talk about. I usually just do my best to hide it, never successful in doing so completely. This forum seems pretty interesting though, and I'm curious, so before I keep rambling...
