Hello people

I'm known as Sanduru but you can call me however you may like

Most commons are Andy, Andro, Andru or Darien (my other name)

I was diagnosed last year. The thing is, I'm from Argentina and Asperger's is not well known. My psychologist worked with an elder neurologist and the neurologist said I have nothing. My psychologist said I had Asperger's but she hasn't worked with adults on that diagnosis, as she is specialized on children when she's not working in a team with the neurologist. That is not fair I don't know what I should do to solve this.

She said, however, that I should go to cognitive rehabilitation and that there was a psicotherapist in the same clinic, but as the neurologist disapproved and argued with the psychologist, my mother said I was not going due to the great reputation of the neurologist.

But since I was diagnosed by the psychologist I've been researching and found out it was accurate. I see myself on other Aspies experiences/expressions/problems.

I've learned how to use all my fingers at the age of twelve and I still have problems to know what fingers I'm going to move. Does anyone have the same problem?

I tend to have heated fights with my mother because she doesn't understand my diagnosis just because an elder neurologist that should have retired already had no idea of the syndrome. I know I should see a psychotherapist but I have no job yet and my health insurance won't cover it.

Anyway, my favourite colors are blue, yellow, black, orange and white. I like The Vines, Kimbra, KPP, Vocaloid, Lifehouse, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Seether, Nirvana, The Beatles, Foo Fighters... A little bit of heavy metal...

I watch anime too, my favourites are Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Inuyasha, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, School Days, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, Oreimo, Sailor Moon, The Idolm@ster, Angel Beats....

I'm a Regular Show fan too.

I have a deviantART account named sanduru, and I own a webcomic called Ocatharsis that is posted on another account and the plot revolves on an isolated 8-year-old kid that is the only decent person in the place and sees monsters and ghosts and for being weird and correct, he has no social life but their new friends are willing to help him get over it.

Hope I have a lot of responses! I've been writing this like for an hour or so (:

First of all, welcome here!
And when it comes to this:

I can relate to this a little bit. I'm 29 and i still have to think about how to use and move my body. It doesn't come naturally. It has something to do with your 'body awareness' and 'body idea'. It's like you don't have that full connection with your body than others do. Holistic doctors see it as that you are 'not properly grounded'. The energy goes all up to the head (that's why you can see things very clear, are very intelligent and can talk very clear). In my experience, sports can be really helpful to this! Not exactly teamsports or sports were you have to achieve something i would say, but just something you can do on your own. Just learning how to use your body, by making your body-awareness a little bit bigger. Helped me a lot!

Further on, very annoying that different specialists have different opinions on you. I can relate to that. I think it's very important to listen to specialists, but more important is to listen to yourself and your own opinion and feelings. There are other ways to get what you want you know. Just keep searching. One specialist is not the other. Good luck with that! And i hope you feel at home out here
