MY wife is claustrophobic. We were in a mall decades ago and saw a "ride". It was a box that people went into, on it's walls were screens that reinacted being in a jet fighter plane. The box moved to give the sensation of G forces. I asked my wife to go in. She said,"promise to shave your beard off and I will". I answered, " but without my beard I look like a dork. I'm lucky, I can empathize with ugly people without being one." She answered, "you are so handsome. I want to see more of your handsome face (obviously deluded by love)". She entered the contraption and so I had to shave off my beard. I did. Her reaction? My God! You do look like a dork!

Does being taciturn ( not being emotionally demonstrable) = class? Is being an asbie intrinsically classy? Or merely unclassifiable?
