Hello all. I was diagnosed with ASD Level 1 this year at the age of 32. I am continuing to process things and am recovering from burnout. I am happy that I have the diagnosis because I've felt like an "alien" all my life. I'm glad Wrong Planet exits and that I have finally found my people :) . I was also diagnosed with ADHD Inattentive Type two years ago. I hope everyone has a great day! :D

Erica_J, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

You wrote that you are "recovering from burnout". That happens to many of us on the site. I believe there is a cure for burn out. It consist of two parts.

1. Sleep. You need to get at least 2 hours of deep, deep sleep each night. This sleep is normally referred to as deep NREM and REM sleep.

2. Exercise. You need at least 1 hours of strenuous exercise each day.

These two steps in my humble opinion will dissolve burnout symptoms.

You also wrote, "I was also diagnosed with ADHD Inattentive Type two years ago." It is interesting how they create intricate labels for human conditions. When I was a child at school sometimes in class, I would daydream. So let me explain what is happening here. If you look inside the human skull, you will see that the brain has two sides, two halves. We have multiple brains, one on the left (which becomes the dominant daytime brain) and one on the right side (which becomes the support brain, the night time brain). So around age 2, you would drift off from your left brain to your right brain. There are many young children that experience a condition called sleep walking. They get up in the middle of the night and leave their homes and walk long distances and finally wake up confused to understand how they arrived far away from home. It was their other half of their brain, the right side investigating the world around them.
