I would love to meet IRL any of the people in my area. i am an old married AS woman and I have a son, 19[with an amazing story to tell, though he doesn't find it amazing on his part] who is kind, caring, and good-looking Because of the circumstances of the past 7 years we have been almost entirely isolated from social interaction in the world outside of the travel trailer we live in.
My son seriously needs friends, as do I. Anyone else from our area who wants to meet other Aspies?

Sure thing! I've been hoping there'd be a guy I could possibly get to know on here who lives in Colorado. Where in Colorado do you guys live? Obviously, you can see that I live in Grand Junction. Does your son not have very many friends to hang out with or to talk to, etc.?

Perhaps an introduction would do. My name is Amy Jacquelyn Kazuko Nakai. I'm 18 years old, currently a senior at Central High School. I'm creative, caring, animated, artistic, and pretty good at making friends.
Does your son like anime like Pokemon? Or cartoons like SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly Odd Parents, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, etc.? What are his interests?
I like to watch cartoons, anime (mostly Pokemon), and TV shows like Drake & Josh, iCarly, etc., listen to music (mostly rock), read, write stories, play video games, and draw.
If you're curious about what I look like, I look like I am Japanese (of course, I am, but I'm also British, Jewish and Native American). I'm 4 foot 9 1/2, weigh about 116 pounds (from the last time I was weighed I believe). From what all I've been told by others (besides my parents and family members of course), I am cute in appearance and by personality. I am very odd, but I'm really nice.
Anything about me you'd like to know about?

Hi Amy! We actually live near Denver and have week-end committments through the summer[we run an ice cream shop in a nudist resort] My son is considered quite handsome. i have read your profile in odd-bods and he is considerably younger than 25 as you requested but he is an awesome person.
the reason that my son has been secluded is that he has lesions in his thalamus[probably a pre-birth stroke] that signals to the nerves in his body that they are under accute attack. He calls them "the burns", but describes them as tazer gun, ice pick type pains. You used to pass out hundreds of times a day from the pain.
The neurologist told us that the majority of kids like him take their lives. he also said that if lJ made it through adolescence it would probably become much easier. Now, Finally, after a 7 year nightmare of relentless pain he is ready to rejoin the world. He actually has few friends and needs so much to learn to live again as he has put all of the past years into simply surviving.
When he was 12 years old he could do trig and calculus. no more. he is starting again from scrath.He has so much to re-learn and he is willing to let his mom to help with sOME of it, but, c'mon, i'm his old mom.

So, where do we go from here. WE could try to set something up in our area if you have no transportation but would be happy to drive to Grand Junction[it will probably be a year or 2 before he an drive] is there any way you 2 could start talking [he likes texting]

Forgot to tell you L.J.'s interests. He loves video games, anime, scuba diving, cruises[no, we are not wealthy, we rent out our home and live in a travel trailer] He used to enjoy juggling before he became ill and just picked up his juggle balls a few days ago. right before he got sick [when he was 12] he was learning to play guitar and to make balloon animals. He is thinking of trying those again. L.j. and I have been working on a fantasy adventure triogy where the protagonists are all on the spectrum. Am i allowed to leave his number here so that he can text you[which, ummm, will be a real surprize to him, but a happy surprize.
Lj finds beauty in all people, but he particularly loves long hair on girls [his hairs not real short]
Right now L,J, is able to work short periods at our auto repair shop. After his GED[lost 7 years of education] he wants to go school and major in marine biology. He has a couple vending machines and makes a bit of extra money as an avon dude[maybe you shouldn't mention that part]
