Hi everyone. I am now in the right place rather than jumping straight in,lol.
My name is Tracy and I am 33 years old. I have 5 children 2 boys aged 14 and 8 years old, and 3 girls aged 11 years, 7 years and 4 years.
My daughter was diagnosed in 2001 but we have never had a name for her condition,lol. She displays several symptons of different conditions amongst them is autism, she is not severely affected, yeah she does hand flapping, does not display emotions etc but the only place her issues really show is education. She has a mental learning age of between 5 years and 6 years according to her last review which was a few weeks ago.
I also have an 8 year old son who is displaying symptoms of a form of autism, thats what the mental health nurse says, his headteacher says he is a very disturbed little boy, I disagree.
He is a lovely little boy who is very sensitive, and yeah he acts differently but certainly not disturbed.
Ryans passion is computers especially his ps2 and xbox he is also quite partial to my pc,lol.
One of his favourite things at the moment is remote controls.
He finds it hard to mix with people either from his own peer group of at family gatherings, he tends to just go to his room and if we try to get him to mix he goes bright red and kicks off bigtime.
The nearest he has to a friend is his sister who is a year younger.
Cannot think of anything else to say for now, now theres a first make the most of it, it does not happen often
