Autistic artist/musician/writer has joined the forum

Hello everyone! While I do have a real name, I go by Jessi Muse on a few websites, so I guess you guys can call me that. (Muse is technically a "last name," so you can just call me Jessi, if you want.) While wondering around on the Internet, looking for a place that I can share things with people who understand the complications of having autism, I stumbled across this place. How about I tell you a bit about myself?

I am an autistic teenager, who has been diagnosed since I was... Oh, I'd say two or three years old. (I honestly don't remember) I have one nephew with aspergers, and another with moderate autism, along with some other disorder, that I keep forgetting what it's called. While he doesn't seem to know many words or sentences, he's quite vocal, if you know what I mean. (In other words, he's not the quietest autistic kid you would meet) I also have a few highschool friends who have autism and Aspergers, along with friends who have Down syndrome, ADD/ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, albinism (I think that's what you call albino people), and many other disorders. I also have a best friend who is legally blind (can see, but she still needs a cane and read Braille) who I think of as my sister, and a boyfriend who has autism.

I play three instruments, which are the cello, piano, and guitar. I started cello back in fifth grade (this is my seventh year playing), piano two years later, and guitar one year after piano, when I got to high school. (There's a guitar class at my school) While I've always loved music, I started learning an instrument when I wanted to show everyone who thought I was stupid, ret*d, and "too disabled" to do the things that normal people could do, what I'm truly capable of.

Another thing I love to do, is draw. While I don't know how my love for drawing has started, I've been told that I have quite a talent for it. I also like to play video games, (mainly Nintendo-themed, but I'm a fan of just about any genre there is.) I'm currently in two group projects making two different games. (RPG and text-based) I'm also a writer of stories, poems, and songs.

Oh, how silly of me. I forgot to mention, I also like anime, and I'm very interested in Japanese culture. I do know a few Japanese phrases, but I have no idea how to read it. (tried to learn, once, but learning a different language is hard, when you're not actively using it) I also have a youtube account. While I don't have any videos yet, I hope to get some up, soon. They're most likely gonna be either be videos of me singing or performing, video game let's plays, or video collages of my foster puppies. (Also forgot to mention that I'm quite an animal lover. Oops...)
