Hello all,

I'm new here.

I've known about this website for years and always felt like I would benefit from interacting with others here; though I am probably BAP at most on the spectrum, I do have ADD. For this reason I have been hesitant to join until now. I hope you will welcome me, and if not I understand.

INFJ personality (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)

I love music, Pokemon, watching hockey, learning languages, Disneyland, soccer, Harry Potter, and more

My nickname here is based on a mix of the Pokemon Ho-oh and Jirachi

I don't identify with the gender binary and for the most part am uncomfortable with any labels, including diagnoses. For example as opposed to saying I am a vegetarian, I would more likely say "I don't like to eat meat" or something like that. Of course there are some exceptions, for example "I am bilingual" is fine with me, as it is more static and not something that people would use to define me.

I'm bilingual and studying more languages, and I play three instruments

I'm happy to make your acquaintance, and I thank you for reading my introduction.

I am Victor Gallo and I'm 21 years old. I have Asperger's Syndrome which makes it hard for me to express my feelings at times. Also, I suffer from a neuromuscular disease known as Muscular Dystrophy which causes me physical pain from time to time. Don't worry. It's not contagious. I am obsessed with hugging and have a small, blue pillow that helps me to suppress my dire need for it. I know it's a crutch, but it's a part of my life just like this website.

I used to go to ACC and study game design, but it was way too over my head in the sense that the class was more mathematical than I thought at first. It reminded me of high school when I took complex math classes. I'm not Rain Man. I don't care for math. It's such a funny word! :) Aside from that, I'm better at making music and videos than anything else. Sometimes, this causes me to forget simple general knowledge and common sense.

I can relate to people the best if they also possess a neurological disorder like I do or understand that I have one. That means just about everybody on this site. I have a very difficult time dealing with some NT's especially those that pick on me. Watching movies or TV shows on Netflix provides me a sense of escapism from having to deal with people I find "too" normal.

I'm really glad to be on here because this is a website where I can discuss things about me that I wouldn't dare to tell neurotypicals about like everything related to my disorder. Thanks for having me here. :D
