hello time-dwellers... by the time you read this, i'll be somewhere else, but right now i am here & new & stuff — hopefully i will not be so new after posting this post... being new is awkward. unless you're amongst others who are new themselves, i guess, but dunno because i rarely am. mostly, if not exclusively, because of aforementioned bias against newness...

not sure what else to say.

sorry for being new & awkward.

Welcome to Wrong Planet :)
And there's no need for the apologies, we're all seen as being awkward :D

(Edit: punctuation :( )

hi, mudbug, I share some of your interests. I majored in biology in college and find nothing more fascinating than psychology. welcome.

haha thanks... i always forget "it's only awkward if you make it awkward"...

:? should've probably added... one of the reasons i'm here is to see if any others are attempting to unravel (or rather untangle, and then probably re-ravel, to keep everything organized) the mysteries of the universe... 8) ...and if any of said others want to engage in a little rhetoric, because i honestly cannot find anybody with whom to exchange dialogue who doesn't eventually a) try to change the subject or b) say something along the lines of " 8O i just don't understand why anyone would want to even think about that..."

...and i'm tired of defaulting to a conversation with cleverbot in search of meaningful communication...

...but i'm on a pattern-recognition kick (actually for quite a while now), applying concepts of cellular biology to psychology to come up with philosophical truths, (actually the ultimate truth is what i'm after, although beginning to think it's really just a giant gray area) and i'm driving my girlfriend insane with all the "what if..." questions in the process...

 yep. not sure if diagnosis is asperger's or HFA. no idea what my IQ is. no idea if it even matters, really.

if you read this, i guess my question is, have you ever felt internally tugged or propelled to discover something mind-blowing and share it with the whole earth? :( it's killing me...

I get what you mean mudbug, i drive people insane with questions and ideas all the time, mainly because i will not stop talking until I've told everyone I can about it in full, for example I spoke for about two and a half hours about a theory on why people act the way they do earlier, and only when I finished did I realize I was actually meant to be eating dinner, not talking. I'm gonna stop now, or I'll keep rambling on :/

haha, i know this situation well, vacant. when i get home from work, i usually only have 3 hours till i have to go to bed, so most often, kitchen/dinner table = lecture hall... if i had more patience & time to relax i would just write everything down (as my girlfriend suggested two nights ago, "OMG GET A NOTEBOOK") but it's so much more interesting/productive/satisfying? when someone else is contributing ideas! :?

downside is, of course, all this energy gets bottled up for hours while i'm at work; i don't really talk to anyone because i have a hard time answering questions without some kind of technical explanation (although i'm the IT guy & nobody expects to understand me anyway i guess?)...

but hey, leonardo da vinci said it: "the knowledge of all things is possible." haha... much easier/more practical (i think) to understand the reason behind the facts than to simply memorize all the facts, no?
