Hello,

I'm another Aspergian refugee, though I only recently joined that forum. I am a 21 year old female, and an art student. I don't know if I have asperger's or not, but I think I may. I see a lot of similarities between myself and aspies, but also many differences, so I am reluctant to give myself a self-diagnosis.

I guess that's all for now,

-Civet

Hi Torley,
I also remember seeing you at Aspergia. Good to see a familiar nickname here :D. Thanks for the welcome.

I'm glad you like my avatar, it's a lynx. They're actually classified as "small" cats, because they're wild cats, but they aren't able to roar like the "big" cats (lions, tigers, etc). Sorry if I sound like I'm lecturing, I just love lynx. I also feel like it is my totem animal, standing for secrets, seeing hidden things, and sensing the unknown.

I'm curious- what is your avatar? It looks like a logo, or something similar. It's nice.

Hello again, Civet... I suppose Lynx have not been domesticated yet? I was reading up on the SPCA and cat info and possibly adopting a pet in the not-so-distant (but more "distant" than "near") future because I'd really like to have a lovely animal companion. Closest I ever came was when I walked a kitten to school that tagged along, but this kitten belonged to a mean old lady and I felt sad for it. Ah, the memories.

My logo just means me! Thanks for asking :) One day, in school, I was bored after finishing my coursework, and started scrawling designs on paper and on the back of my left hand. This is what I came up with, and I eventually colored it. My initials (T and a W) are in it. I was questioned by some peers whether it was some glyph of demonic influence aka "The Mark of the Beast", and I joked, "Only if you consider me the devil!" and laughed after that :D

Thank you for the welcomes. I host my avatar at my school's server (along with my webpage) but unfortunately, it's not very reliable. It looks like it's back up now.

No, lynx are not domesticated. There are several breeds of cat that are a mix of wildcat and domestic. The bengal and the ocicat, I believe. I think the bengal is a mix with some type of small jungle cat (striped, too), and I think the ocicat is part serval. I'm not 100% sure on that, but if you're interested, it wouldn't be hard to look into. I definitely recommend getting a cat, I love cats, and I think they're great pets, especially if you don't want the type of animal that is always bugging you for attention (like a dog). My cat passed away earlier this year, I miss him :( . When I move into my own place I plan on getting a new kitten, but now it's still too soon, and also, I go to college and am not allowed to have pets in the dorms.

That's cool, it's nice to have a symbol of yourself. To be honest, I can't see the T and W in it. But I also don't see the resemblance to any demonic symbols, either  .
