Hi!
I am 18 years old and a freshman in college. I have never been diagnosed with autism or aspergers, nor have i ever been tested. I was tested and diagnosed with ADD when I was 16 though. I know there is sometimes an overlap between the two. Some people have told me they think that I have aspergers, and I looked into it and think I might as well (this has actually been going on for a couple of years.) I have taken the aspergers spectrum quotient test and the rdos test 3 time (different versions). The following were my results:
1. Aspergers quotient: 36
2. Rdos 1:
Your Aspie score: 168 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 30 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

3. Rdos 2:
Your Aspie score: 171 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 21 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

4. Rdos 3:
Your Aspie score: 172 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 27 of 200 You are very likely an Aspie

(it wont let me post the graphs for the rdos so I put them on my blog.. check them out if that will help please!)

Do you know how accurate these tests are? Do you think I have aspergers? Should I get tested? What are the advantages of getting tested? How would I even go about getting tested as a college student? any advice regarding the matter (even if not answering the questions) would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

sounds like you have plenty of evidence to justify getting an expert evaluation. an advantage of a diagnosis might be school or workplace accommodations for your disability. a disadvantage would be being disqualified for military service. only you can decide if a formal diagnosis is worth it to you.

Welcome :D

From what I've read from everyone here, most people seem to consider a diagnoses as a positive thing. I'm not sure on the technicalities, but I don't believe you have to disclose your condition, unless it effects your job/studies.

Most people have considered their diagnoses a relief. As for me, I'm self diagnosed at the moment, but am organising to make it official, as I'm about 99% sure I'm on the spectrum, after months of reading stories, and relating to others online.
