Hi,
Came across this website and just had to join. I don't have a diagnosis for Aspergers right now, but am in the process of getting one. My psychologist suspected that I may be an Aspie, which would explain a lot of things, so after discussing with me the pros and cons of getting an official diagnosis at this point, I wanted to know. However, I have been warned of the difficulty getting a diagnosis as an adult woman.
Have already had a childhood profiling done with my parents, and the initial tests, and I'm now waiting for another lot of tests this time with some specialist from the Autism team. My psychologist is already talking to me as if I had the diagnosis, although she was very nice and said I would be classed as high functioning.
I decided to read Aspergirls by Rudy Simone, so many things were just like me that it made me cry, but also made me laugh because I had done those same things at some point. Also found an online test with the same questions as the official test I have already done, and gave the same answers. I got a 172 score out of 200 for Aspergers.
So, hi everyone!
