Hi. I used to be the biggest Broadway fan years ago. Specifically, I was into collecting soundtracks. I don't remember a lot of them now but I used to own the soundtracks to 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Chess, Avenue Q, and the one that was based on Sesame Street.

I'd also once auditioned to play the Basketball Kid In Elizabeth Swados' Runaways. It never came to fruition, though. My shyness was just too overwhelming and simply prevented my participation any further.

I've played in the pit for 2 shows when I was younger. I played clarinet in Brigadoon my Senior year in high school, and tripled on e-flat. Clarinet, b-flat clarinet and bass clarinet in a McHenry County, Il youth theater production of West Side Story almost 30 years ago. Of those 2 shows, West Side Story was a b*tch, especially when one does not play jazz.

Brigadoon and WSS were the most recent musicals I did. :) I did the same tripling for West Side Story.
The Wizard of Oz is next for me.

The other big issue I had playing in the pit was trying to read manuscript. Mom and Dad used to b*tch at me big time due to my sloppy handwriting. They didn't know how to read music, else they'd understand why manuscript is sometimes called flys**t. 10 to 1 they would stop b*tching if they would have been able to read that stuff.
