Hey everyone, I just thought I'd introduce myself.
A little background: Out of the blue I was diagnosed with AS last November at age 32 (33 now) after lifelong difficulty at developing social skills and fitting-in (in the past I've worked with children with Autism, and for some reason I seemed to understand them a little more than my NT co-workers. I just didn't mention it to them out of fear of being made fun of). The months following diagnosis had me going through a lot of denial along with the negative thoughts and actions that go with it. Today I decided to stop being so stubborn and finally accept that this is lifelong.
A little more: My main interests are 1) cars, 2) the arts, 3) creative design, and 4) self-help. Limited interests are in science, politics, history, and comedy.
Anyways, that's all I'll say for now. More later with time.
