Hello there. I was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at 14. Still trying to find a job/school that I can cope with. Looking forward to help and be helped :)

It's sink or swim, Stix, and Penn State University has just published research findings that we are 25 to 30 times more likely to turn to contemplating, attempting, or committing suicide than anyone else, so it looks like your best bet is swim - I've had an epic life, survived six suicide attempts, the last only 14 years ago, my mother topped herself and her maternal grandfather died of complications after his final go, with me off a bridge into a river at age three and a half - if you find they keep sending you back from the Pearly Gates as happened to me, the likelihood is you'll switch your memory off so you don't have to remember all the sh*t and get a chance of maybe coping better with it second time around - but no - one thing you forgot was never get married and definitely never have kids - so amnesia kicks those two resolution in the neck and you get married and have one kid before you realise you've f*cked up again - so you have a nervous breakdown - need private psychiatric intervention because the national health service don't believe there's anything wrong with you - and the private psychiatrist finds you have aspergers - wtf is that - never heard of it - oh - its the genius gene - your life is transformed - he teaches you to make your OCD and ADD work as team with you instead of against - your work output becomes epic in quantity and quality - other aspies start consulting you to learn to do it too - you start coaching and counselling voluntarily evenings and weekends using your professional institutions' LANs - then along comes the internet so you go world wide - before long you are getting no sleep because the minute the people in USA go to bed the people in Australasia are getting up - so you have another breakdown but this time put yourself in an 8 hours coma with your suicide attempt, forgetting they'll only send you back from the Pearly Gates if your name isn't on Grim Reaper's clipboard - so you shut down your world network and knuckle down to your job which was so well done that UNESCO give your project an award and you keep your head and it pretend it had SFA to do with you - and retire quietly and decide to touch base with the donk that had the amnesia way back and ask him WTF was that you donk - and from that you write an autobiography of your life of autism and aspergers and publish it on Amazon - and go to Yahoo Answers to try to reduce the appalling rate of suicides and broke lives and win top contributor awards in mental health and singles and dating which attracts hackers and they wreck your computers - but still - writing your autobiography gave you some ideas for a trilogy of speculative historic novels/novellas and an educational encyclopaedia for auties and aspies in 100 fortnightly instalments to make it affordable - and 66 fortnightly inspiring stories too
- so yeah - coping is hard - but its the kind of hard that makes saints and heroes - and you reach 69 like I did yesterday and look back and say that was some theme park ride - I WANNA DO IT AGAIN :D
