Hi everyone,

I stumbled across this forum while reading some comments from an aspergers support group on Facebook..

A little about me, i am 28 years old, engaged with two children. My son is 4 and has ASD (non verbal) and my daughter is 2 (NT). I am an un diagnosed Aspie. After many years of struggling to figure out myself and why I do the things I do, I finally came to the conclusion that I have Aspergers. It was because if my sons diagnosis that I started to research autism very heavily. I've taken many of the online quizzes , have read a lot about Aspergers specifically. it all makes sense.

I am now trying to get an official diagnosis, figuring it may really help me as getting my son diagnosed and help really helps him.

Enough rambling, I am glad to be a part of this forum and hope to make some new friends here as we'll! :)

It seems to be pretty common, realizing that the diagnosis fits you when your kids get diagnosed. That is the way it worked for me. So much simpler to look at them than at yourself.
