I recently joined this site as, my social skills therapist had recommended it to me as, a place on the internet to find all sorts of information about Asperger Syndrome as well, interact with others in a safe, friendly enviroment.
Well, to keep to the point and not go into a ramble here I've had Aspergers since I was 3yrs of age but, I was not diagnosed until 2002 therefore, for 30 yrs now I've had to struggle in many areas of life mentally, emotionally, socially, etc.. I have managed to make some achievements though as, I'm able to take care of myself and can deal fairly well in so-called normal life. Yes, there are times when difficulty does face me but, I don't give up though.

As you can see, I'm not that good at relating things to well yet, I hope to get better therefore, it's nice to be here.

Professor X :)

Welcome ProfessorX. Why did you select this name? I didn't get a diagnosis until my 40s. You should be proud of your achievements. I think you communicate well. What's your next goal? I cope alright with everyday life, but I've had no success yet in relationships. I can't seem to hack it emotionally

I've finally made it back as, there has been technical problems.Anyways, I chose the screen name Professor X from the X-Men cause, despite being confined to a wheelchair he still managed to do a great deal of things regardless. :) 2nd, I'm gradually getting better at socializing with people, something I have problems with but, give up I don't. In regards to my next goal well, I'd like to have a home-based business for, I've seen several people be able to do well with them not, that I'd make it my lifetime occupation yet, I'd like to try it cause, over the years there has been a great amount of adversity when it comes to the workplace.

I must get going yet, I'll be checking out the forum on a consistent basis and sincerely trying to become familiar with many of my fellow aspies.

Professor X

Welcome, glad you found your way here and got your diagnosis. Things can only get better from here, right.
