Hey, nice to be here.

My name's Rachel, I'm 18, and I think I'll fit in well. I've been tested a few times for ASDs, but have never been diagnosed with one. I have, however, been diagnosed with depression and general anxiety disorder.

I love music--it's what I do. I'm a singer, and I play trumpet and flute as well. On my to-learn list are violin, piano, and guitar. Celtic and instrumental are my preferred genres, though I listen to everything. Seriously--everything. I also love to read (at the rate of 1,400 words per minute...gives me more time for more books :) ). My tastes generally are epic and gritty fantasy. I'm a fan of Joe Abercrombie and George RR Martin (any GoT fans, hit me up! Glad to talk).

I'm in the process of graduating high school, and will be attending culinary school in the fall. Probably half time, because I've got all my generals done already (graduating with 18 college credits at least...whew!).

Anyway, that's basically me. I'll go take a look around now, familiarize myself with the place.

I doubt I can hit two sticks together twice in the same timing. Maybe in 500 years it could happen by accident, but also love many forms of music. Celtic is particularly moving to me and the singing very pretty. I half suspect it might be genetic, though I know not how. If I hear bagpipes for instance I will enlist in any army for any purpose. :?

I also had those two diagnoses... well actually still have, but am glad that was all as anything else may have caused a problem in the military. But I am quite sure it is ASD. It is enough for me and my family to know at this point.

Hi Rachel! Wellcome to WP! :D I'm also 18 and have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Aspergers. Congratulations on graduating with so many college credits under your belt!! I really like Celtic music too, and I did Irish step dancing for a number of years.
