hi :D

i'm jacy, female, 29 years old. I'm currently waiting for my assessment to confirm that i'm on the spectrum. I'm a high functioning autistic 8O
I'm also a feminist. Have global aphasia that alot of people mistake as being dyslexic, not really realising that although they are similar they are not the same. I also have mild ADHD. Oh and non-24 circadian rhythm sleep disorder.
I'm unemployed, but also a part time student, studying book-keeping and IT.
I love boots, tv and films and have an extensive collection of all of that and other things like gemstones.
I'm a eclectic pagan. I also own two cats, an evil hamster  and a bunch of fish.
I'm bisexual and currently single :)
Oh, oh and i'm a labour supporter :D

My impression is that one with global aphasia can neither speak nor understand anyone.

I would be a Labour supporter if I were in England.

Do you boots, or books?

I once had six cats.

I probably have ADHD myself--both inattentive and hyperactive.

Nope, global aphasia is when you have difficulty with expressing yourself and also with processing external information. So its problems with the ins and outs lol :)

Obviously there are degrees of severity, i'm mild with it. And in writing it just make it appear to be mild dyslexia, but to talk to me you would see i also struggle with forming sentences and always tripping over myself, pronouncing things wrong, stuttering, stammering, get words mixed up, feeling like i'm not expressing myself the way i want, etc.

Ah yes, ha, i meant to say Books, though i am a fan of collecting boots. I have so many at one point it was ridiculous lol.

So see, another part of aphasia is writing wrong words and not being aware of it. The same with when i talk actually, i will say wrong words and not be aware of it. My mum is the same.
