Hello, I'm Megan. I'm 22 and I live in Canada. I have Tourette Syndrome, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, and Sensory Dysfunction, which led me to thinking I have Aspergers (among a lot of other things). I haven't been diagnosed, mostly because I'm currently dealing with a severe migraine condition and that is more important for the time being (been going on for over 10 years).

I like reading, writing, pretty much anything that involves creating something. I like acting, but I'm not great because I have problems expressing emotions and it comes off wrong. Direction is better, anyway.

I'm in school for fitness/health program and I'll probably be going into Neuroscience afterwards.

Not sure what else to say, so I'll end it here.

- Megan

Hullo. Welcome to the WP!

Hm, migraines...I've got a culinary degree, and I've familiarized myself with food allergens, mostly because my family and I have rather severe gluten intolerances. This is simply speaking from ignorance, but have you tried cutting M.S.G. (Monosodium Glutamate) from your diet? My older brother has an allergy to it, and it gives him horrible migraines. Again, not sure how relevant this is, but I hope it helps.

Hi Megan, Welcome aboard. My daughter is in a neuroscience Phd program in NYC. Absolutely fascinating field.

Welcome to WP.

I also have always liked the creative process. Art, Daydreaming, Writing, have always been hobbies.

Good luck with your migraines. I had a headache problem for several years and it seriously sucked. Fortunately it was treatable kind. Really do hope you get some relief.

Neuroscience!! !

That's great. Will you be doing autism research (I am all for autism research, by the way--it doesn't promise a "cure"--it only promises to increase knowledge)

You have something I don't have: the ability to create visual art.

Sorry about your headaches. Do you take anything for them?

What part of Canada do you reside?

@Zephyo: I've tried a gluten-free diet before and it didn't change anything regarding my headaches (though, if it was cheaper/easier I probably would have stayed). Thanks, though.

@Toy_Soldier: I need creating to de-stress. It's not always easy, though. But needed. :0)
Mine seem to be the untreatable kind, resistent to most treatments. But I'm on gabapentin now and it seems to be working, so far.

@kraftiekortie: I don't want to narrow myself too much, but autism is a scope I want to pursue. There are a whole lot of issues and conditions I would like to look into and provide more understanding and support for. Even if there isn't a cure, think of how much understanding has given to the autistic community - sensory issues alone make up a lot of progress in treatment.

I live in Toronto, Ontario. For now.

Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to Wrong Planet! I also like creating things; my favorite "creative pastime" is photography.

I wondered where in Canada you were from, Megan...until you mentioned you were from Toronto.
