I am 45 and recentrly got diagnosed with ASD. I am still going through various stages of rejection, unbelieve, 'what, me... never.. no way' , Find it hard still.
Scored pretty high on the aspie test here, so that should have given me a hinch to start with in the first place.... oh well.
Currently getting treatment for major depression and anxiety. (again... sigh..)

Mom of 3 - eldest diagnosed with ASD.

hope to find some anwers here, and likewise minds...

Welcome to WP! Cheer up, you aren't the oldest one here to be diagnosed with AS. Yes, it can be depressing at times, but it also has its benefits. In spite of the downsides, I like my mind just the way it is and do not want it to change.

You´re not the oldest newly diagnosed here, kiddo!
I got it just after my 60th birthday!

I am not sure about answers so much as people with very similar types of experiences, but I guess there are answers to some things imbedded in that.

But 'minds' yes absolutely. We have nearly a 1:1 ratio of members to minds. Our last census revealed only two extra brains.
