Hello you all.

I am an 45 old woman and I live in Germany. Please be tolerant with my english.

I am mother of a diagnosed Asperger son, and a daughter who shows some signs but cope. Since he has his diagnose 2 months ago and I read lots, I found out that I must be an Aspie myself. I have been on the wrong planet all my live and almost everything has been a big riddle to me. I dont know how could I live that long without realising, I use to analyse everything!

I have at least three more Aspies in my family, but, we dont speak about our specialities. So its just me, my husband and kids being alone with all that new exciting findings. I am neither new to, nor unhappy with the "beeing alone", but I am glad that I found out that there are more people like me on this planet. Hello you all.

Welcome! :)
I live in Germany, too. What part of Germany do you live in?

Hello MelPhee, welcome to WrongPlanet 😊.
Funny that, how we all find out about ourselves in so many very different ways.
It must be lovely for your children to have a mum who lives on the same planet as they do 😉.

Welcome!

(Your written-English is quite good.)

(One of my family-members was born in Frankfurt.)

It's good that you are learning more about autism. People who have it "see" the World differently -- true -- yet often see it with unusual clarity and are often so smart that others usually must respect them and will, often, learn much from them. Sometimes, people on "The Spectrum" eventually develop superior, written-communication skills. The most open and educated "neuro-typicals" will slowly realize how "bright" people on "The Spectrum" are, and -- in time -- as a group, we can accomplish great things. The World thrives on our intelligence and determination.
