·I started reading early, before I started preschool or kindergarten. I never thought of it as odd, but I looked it up and saw that most kids start reading in kindergarten or first grade.
·I was always a good speller. At the beginning of the week in school, 20 words would be read to us and we would write them down. The words we spelled wrong were the ones we focused on and were tested on at the end of the week. I would almost never get any of them wrong, so I got to be one of maybe 3 people to choose from the advanced words. When I was maybe 7-9, one of the words I had chosen was sacrilegious. Do most adults even know how to spell that?
·At the beginning of every year, we would do this online reading comprehension test to see what grade level we were reading at. I was always several ahead of everyone else. By the end of 8th grade I was at a college level.
By the end of middle school none of these things were done anymore, so I'm not entirely sure where I stand now. I'm 16 and have been thinking I have aspergers, I'm going to see my psychiatrist about it soon.
