Hi there, i'm a 48 year old woman in Maryland, USA. After a friend with an Asperger girl posted a link to a test, I took it (and 3 other tests), all of which say something like maybe or almost Asperger's, or on the cusp (I think... some were kind of difficult to interpret). I'm considering going for an official diagnosis if insurance will cover it.

I work as a web developer/graphic designer. My main interests are computers, art, and science fiction, although I've had other "fascinations" as well: calligraphy, botany, mythology, astronomy, and various historical topics.

I've been soaking up a lot of information from this and other Asperger/Autism info sites. It's surprised me how many of my traits are listed here, that i had not even guessed were autism spectrum, like "stimming", extreme sensory sensitivity, and difficulty recognizing people when they aren't in their normal habitat. I always knew I was socially awkward, but figured it was because my whole family is that way. Now i'm wondering about them too.
