Level 1 just means that the amount of support that you need is minimal (i.e. only at certain times or in certain circumstances); but, yes, if you have no significant problems with every-day language or learning disabilities, it's essentially the same as Asperger's Syndrome.

Same here, and for many others of us who were diagnosed later in life, especially when, like you, we've had other diagnoses before autism that the experts said were supposed to explain everything.
This is a great place to talk to people in the same position so that you can understand what it all means. I've found it incredibly helpful, and often a lot of laughs, too! I hope you find the same.
