Dear WrongPlanet community,

I am a kid, in my early teens. I have known that I was not "normal" since preschool. I was bullied and harassed, even assaulted. I knew it was Autism since I was 9. One doctor gave me a diagnosis of Aspergers 20 minutes after we first met. Another doctor who knew me for years said I was too high functioning for that diagnosis. It was around then that I found WP. I have posted occasionally, and read posts often. When I first found this website, I told my mom that I finally felt like there were others like me out there. I want to formally introduce myself with this post.

"You seem normal.", "You're not autistic." and even "You're a liar" are common folklore from people who don't know and don't understand autism/aspergers.

Welcome, and there are a million more resources out there for you than when I was an early teen, and that wasn't that long ago.
