I guess a nice starting question would be , who do you find it easier to talk to NTs or Aspies? I mean i know it isn't as easy as that, but having to adapt to a NT world means for me that I can get used to NTs. IT's kinda like being in the middle of two worlds (Insert matrix reference here).
That's a hard one. Obviously the majority of people I speak to and the majority of my friends fall into the NT category, and for the most part they're cool.
Some are really f*****g draining to talk to, I'm thinking of this dude at work who I think is great to talk to, we motivate each other to get through the BS of having a crap job, but after about 3 minutes I'm running really low on motivation to continue the conversation. Really intense eye contact, prolonged handshakes etc.
On the other hand, my housemate seems more autistic than me. He flaps his hands when he gets excited, won't shut up about really insanely boring crap, every day the same story; can't read the body language of my sitting there with my head in my hands going 'yep... yep... yep...' because he's talking while I'm trying to eat and for some reason I can't concentrate on how tasty the food is while he's banging on about whatever...
But then sometimes we have these really deep philosophical conversations and it's really refreshing to be around him. I guess it depends on both of our moods.
In conclusion,
everybody s**ts me
