Hello. I am very glad I have found this forum to connect to people like me and hopefully help resolve my problem with Nts.

Basically, I'm 32, I live with my grandmother in SC. I work at a call center. I have a lot of trouble connecting with other people. It is so frustrating that others make social connections so easy and I never do. I have improved my social skills greatly over the years, but that's always some weird social rule I didn't know about, or an exception or something that they break a social rule at the right time or something.

I have been treated cruelly a lot of my life but now am simply ostracized. If anyone in this forum can help, I'd appreciate it.

At least you graduated :D

At least you have a job.

You're not doing too badly.

Especially if you're taking care of your grandmother, I wouldn't say that you are not living as an adult.

Welcome to the Forum.

Thanks. I'd like to do more adult stuff and have something of a social life. But we'll get to that later.

Where is good place to get your foot in the door as far as the local social scene?

Hey graduate122 welcome. :sunny:

Have you ever heard of meetup.com?

If not, it's a website you join to meet other people with similar interests. You find a group in your area and join them for events they hold. They have enough groups for a wide variety of interests. :)

Thanks for the welcome. I enjoy reading, jogging, watching TV, various things.

I meant "NTs" as opposed to people who have Aspergers.

No. NT's is just short for NeuroTypicals. The others!

Sometimes it seems like the NTs have the syndrome, they are so emotional and have difficulty following simple logic.

That's because they're not logical creatures. They're social creatures.
