I was diagnosed with right temporal lobe seizures and "minimal brain dysfunction" as a child. (That should give you a clue as to how old I am. Just in case you don't recognize the old fashioned psycho-babble, I'm in my 40's.) I was on and off quite a few seizure meds and also took Ritalin for several years. My speech was incomprehensible until I started Ritalin at age 4. I only recently figured out that all of my problems add up to a high-functioning autism dx. I'm going through some major life crises and I'm here looking for support from people who understand me.

Slenkar,
In my early twenties I married an abusive control freak. I never worked and became a stay at home mother of four. Now I'm going through a divorce and trying to establish a career.
