Hi,

I hate these first post introductions because I never know what to say. Middle aged female, I work in a social job and it's killing me, so working on a career move too. Been a recluse for over 20yrs (except for turning up to work) it's been getting me down. While I don't feel lonely as such I just feel like I have no use in the world so I need to find that purpose or use. Discovering this has at least been a load off my mind, I can relax and stop maniacally trying to be like others and develop social skills etc. I just can't shake the fact that no matter how much I learn, how good I get I can never pull off being NT. So I just want to go into hiding now and live in my own little plot with a nice garden and be happy.

Don't mean to sound negative but I've given up being a part of the world. I'm exhausted and exasperated and want some peace and silence now. Anyway, Hi.

Hi, Echolalia

Where are you from, Australia?

When I found out I was an aspie, it was a great relief. To stop pretending I was like everyone else and try playing it like some nt makes life that much easier. Dont bother. We're much more interesting than they are, and much stronger in our own ways.

Giving up on being a part of this world sounds like great advice. It's what I'm doing. It's what I should've done a long time ago. I have my own little world. I have my nieces, brother, sister, cats, music, and long walk in the streets, solitary walks, just to see trees and bushes rushing backwards, to pat dogs. There are animals in this world, and they're much more interesting than people, and much nicer and easier to get alone with.

We've all reached this world by mistake. Would you like to accompany me on the mission to Mars? It's a one way ticket.

I swear if it weren't for my family and cats, and if the flight wasn't so horrible and dangerous, I'd go. I really would. I kid no not.
