Due to some very non-PG overloading that happened when I was very small, I've had PTDS relating directly to anything and anyone medical so I've never gotten diagnosed by "a professional."

I fully embrace my Aspie Aspects, but lacking that "diagnosis" I've never allowed myself to be in a forum or a comunity of my Aspie peers, but I really, really want to find people who won't think I'm "trying to make them jealous" when I share my bra size and who know I'm being HONEST, not arrogant when talking about my special interests.

However, I just took rdos's Aspie Quiz (which has this website linked as inspiration for the quiz):
Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 184 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 40 of 200
You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

I feel like that is enough for me to prove to myself that I am allowed to be here! Horay! And Also I'm so excited because of some of those questions! Like, I never though that:
staring at "my people's hair" could be an Aspie thing,
not being jelous/ being fine with the idea of a multi-party relationship, could be an Aspie thing,
fiddling with my hair,
ovrsensitivity to light
spinning
holding my eyelids up when stressed
extreme dislike of being followed
extreme dislike of having people show up at my door
childhood imaginary friends
childhood paranoia that all the lines of the earth would end the world
childhood feeling of telepathy
tendency to mix up numbers
problem recalling a person's face without looking at them
love of long hair,
Could all be Aspie things!

I've always known these are my Aspie traits:
liking weird food, I.E "Burnt" "Overcrispy"
knowing if a random number is prime within 80% accuracy, even though I can't multiply well or divide basically at all
Sensitivity to the feeling of shirt sleeves
Utter incompetence in realizing I'm being flirted with
Socal awkwardness!
Geekyness
Emotional oversensitivity
sensitivity to smells
ability to reproduce anyone else's art
And
Special interests
--->Genetics
--->Social Behavior
--->Coding (Computer Programming)
--->Medical things (for protection)

Hi Ashley,

I posted the next newbie thread right after you so yay, adjacent threads, we are
newbie BFFs, right? Yay!! :D

...What?

...That's not how it works?

Sorry, carry on then. :oops:

Slightly more seriously, is it weird that I wanted to read through your list of 'things' and go hmmm...I do
something sort of like that, not that one, definitely that one, ooo that one sounds really interesting.?

Also now I'm like aaaaa, where is that quiz and why didn't I take it first??? :oops: What if i'm just a
wannabee and get kicked off my first day on the forum, that would be really embarrassing. :oops:

I'm sure there was a point to this, but I've long since forgotten it. Anyway, welcome! Right, that's what I
was supposed to say: Welcome!! !

- Rebecca

Hi Rebecca!

Posting adjacent threads doesn't make us BFFs, but posting ON each other's threads does!!

It says in the TOS not to share websites, so I can't share the quiz, but if you search "Rdos Aspie Quiz" I'm sure you'd find it.

The fact that you felt compelled to read my lists makes me feel as though you'd be safe assuming you're an Aspie, because I know it's why I felt compelled to write them.

Thanks for the welcome!!

P.S, Did you know that Pocohantas changed her name to Rebecca?
