Hi, I've been away for awhile. I used to post under VAGraduateStudent, but I lost my password, and evidently the email it was connected to.
I'm a non-autistic graduate student studying the sociology of autism. I am married to an aspie and we have aspie family members. I've also been friends with a lot of aspies. I'm told that I have a particularly expressive face and so am easy to interpret. I have gravitated toward people on the autism spectrum (even before I knew what that was) because I like honesty, frank talk, and I find people who are experts in their interests better to listen to than people who don't take their interests that seriously.
Right now I'm working on my thesis, which is about the problems in disclosing an autism status at work. If you have anything you think I should look into in regards to this subject, or if you would like to work with me as an anonymous research participant, send me a private message.
