Hi, my (screen) name is writergirl53, and without giving away too many personal details, I am a soon-to-be-university-student who lives in Canada, and well, that's my demographic, folks... I was diagnoses with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 11, and more recently with a visual-spatial learning disability and generalized anxiety disorder. Let me just say that this is very difficult for me to even write with the idea of actually posting it for people to see. Although I have been told that people can tell right off the bat that I'm "different", I try very hard to keep my actual diagnoses under wraps to all but my closest friends who have similar diagnoses, and my family members. As you could probably tell from the name, writing is my absolute passion, I love it and do it all the time, and have known it was what I wanted to do for most of my life. I also love anime, (current favourites include Magi, Kamisama Kiss, Lucky Star, and I may just be throwing out names here...) and reading, (my favourite books are Don Quixote and Alice in Wonderland.) I am working on trying to learn Japanese, and love learning languages in general. (I probably shouldn't get started on that, I won't stop...)
To be honest, people have suggested coming here to me, and I think it's definitely worth a go, but I'm not sure that I have some specific goal in mind like some of the people on here seem to. If anything, I suppose, maybe just to remind myself that I'm not alone in my experiences, which I guess must be a large part of why this site exists. Well, as they say in Japanese Ganbarimasu! (That means, loosely, I'll do my best!)
