Hi, Everybody!

I just heard of this site yesterday in a post on the Delphi Forums Aspie Hangout, and I'm so glad I did! This looks like a great place.

"Joan McKay" is an alias taken from my family tree. I used to use my real name online all the time, but I'm a little more cautious about my privacy these days.

Anyway, I just turned 35 and I live in St. Paul, Minnesota. I grew up in southeastern Michigan and also lived in Columbus, Ohio, for a few years (I graduated from Ohio State). I'm a graduate student in library & information science, a Pagan, a Mensan, and a diagnosed Aspie.

My major interests are history, genealogy, science (particularly the biological sciences), literature, and web design. I love dogs, camping, cooking, computer games, and music (blues, bluegrass, 80s, classical). I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it's usually "Monk" & "Days of Our Lives" or else something on the Discovery Channel or the History Channel.

I can't think of anything else to say about myself right now, so if there's anything you want to know, just ask!

Tere, I loved Columbus & I miss it a lot. I'm hoping to move back to Ohio after I finish my MLIS. Maybe we'll meet up one day.

Wow! I see I've gotten a few replies since the last time I checked the board. I didn't get any notifications of new replies until today, oddly enough. Sorry for the delay in my reply.

I really do appreciate the welcome messages! I'll be spending more time around here now that my semester at school is almost over. I just have one more project to complete by Wednesday at noon, and then that's it for me until fall.
