Hi, all.

I've been reading this site all day and enjoying it, so I thought I would join. I am NT but have had a number of AS friends over the years, and always want to learn more so that I can relate better.

I might not post much but it always seems creepy to lurk and never say hi, so hi!

I hope that I can contribute something useful, or at least not be irksome. :)

Edited to add that perhaps my bi-polar disorder makes me not wholly NT, but you know what I mean. :)

I really appreciate the welcome!

(and i just might need a demon slain here and there, so it's good to know i have options.)

After reading through the forums all day long at work, I stopped at the bodega on the corner on my way home. The guy behind the counter said 'how are you?'....and I at that moment for the first time realized how inane that query can sound. So a day of reading has given me a new perspective already. :)

too much information is always a good way to shut them up:

"oh, a little crampy."
"itchy."
"well, i'm planning a murder..."
