My name is Nicholas, and I'm a young autistic (according to the new definition) male struggling to become independent from a military father; nice tah meetcha!
Might as well say a little bit about myself and ask a few questions along the way.
As you may or may not already know I have aspergers (Diagnosed) I tend to be very spontaneous and don't like conforming to any schedule made in advance, I tend to forget about the internet quite often...(never made it to 1000 posts on any forum) and I'm currently living on my own in...This is starting to sound like I'm signing up for a dating site
On to the Questions then!
1.) Regarding Profanity on the forums...does that mean discussion of taboo topics is not allowed? (or is it limited to certain forum sections?) e.g. when a man and a woman like each other very much...
2.) I recently changed how I interacted with people...instead of imagining about how they would react to me I simply stopped caring (although not entirely) and I noticed that it's far easier to socialize this way, what are the pros and cons to this approach? in addition should I slowly adapt my personality to those around me or should I do my own thing all the time?
3.) Earlier in my post I said that I'm in the process of becoming independent of my military father who is utterly convinced of my "inability" to function on my own and has never even tried to understand my disability...do you think there's anyway I can get through to him w/ sabotaging my relationship with him even more than my childhood did?

Post Scriptum - I forgot to mention that I'm 20 years old...seems the profiles default everyone to 45? I hope that's just me.
