Some believe it is a forerunner of todays birds...and although birds do have lizard like qualities, i.e. particularly the skin on their feet and some other qualities. It also could have been warm blooded like birds.

That humming bird was one of about 50 that came to our house a couple of years ago. They were awesome to watch.

so... it's what scientists beleive evovled into todays bird?
& i agree, last summer, we had around 10 hummingbirds, since my mom loves birds and my dad loves taking pictures, we opened a windo and i sat out there as still as possible in a red bicycle helmet, one actually tried to sit on my head!

Just wanted to share (and can't figure a better place to put it) I saw what looked like a cross between a Canada Goose and a regular barnyard one today. Really weird. Main coloring like a Canada, but the neck was all black, with white spots. Had orange legs and feet, and an orange beak.

I know I was so unhappy when all the cute birds disappeared from my rank. Made it imperative that I get to the 1000 so I could be one again.

The Bee Hummingbird (Mellisuga helenae) is the smallest bird in the world, weighing 1.8 grams (0.06 ounces).

I think Hummers are truly one of the remarkable animals in the entire world ! ! That such a tiny bird can sustain such a metabolism, 70 wing-beats per second, is on the verge of believability ! !! They're marvelous to watch, and the males are quite aggresive.

Cow Kitty is a bird cat I think. She seems to only be interested in toys that move like birds.
