Hi everyone! My name is Peter (but I prefer to be called Pete). I've registered here before (actually a few times) but rarely stuck around for more than a few posts. Now, I have a lot to talk about and think I'll be here to stay.

I'm 18 years old and was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome when I was 6. I love animals and nature (for quite a while it was my "special interest") but am also interested in other sciences, history, and technology. I love to write and have written a number of short stories (some of which I'm thinking about getting published). I'm also love to go hiking and swimming, spend a fair amount of time on the internet and am a semi-regular gamer.

I'm pretty high functioning (most people don't realize I have Asperger's until I tell them) but I have had and continue to have some struggles. So, as I said on my last "visit", I'm really looking forward to getting to know the other Aspies here, and I'm probably (and hopefully) here to stay this time!
