Hi,
I'm new here. Got officially diagnosed (ASD, DSM-5, but probably aspergers) like 2 weeks ago. Very happy with it, because it explains a lot.
Now school starts again I realise more and more that I have autism. Feeling weird with my classmates and in social situations I feel left out a lot. It makes me feel very lonely, because I start to realise it so much. So I thought let's register at an autism forum, because why not. My best friend has autism, so that helps quite a lot, but I don't have many other really close friends and I also don't have family.
I'm from the Netherlands btw. (/random)

Sometimes i don't really understand what you guys mean. Is that all right?

Yeah, I'm absorbing Dutch very slowly. My friend's there often helping Qdance throw more raves and I can read bits & pieces but the inflections are a real trip.

You seem plenty lekker in our book though.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I search on google for a lot of autism fora and I eventually chose this one because it covers a lot of subjects, it is international and there are a lot of active users.

Welcome from South Africa! I can understand written Dutch since it is so similar to Afrikaans, which is a much used language here.

Hope you have a long and happy stay in the WP village! Or do you prefer "city"?
