I'm 27 years old, living in Northern Europe, and was diagnosed with Aspergers in my late teens. I've always had a hard time connecting with people, including close family. I know myself and my differences, but one thing I haven't really done is learned about Aspergers syndrom in general and seen myself in that context. I fully accept my diagnosis, but it's only in the last few years or so I've felt "lost" to the point that I realize I need to sort things out, understand my diagnosis and understand human connection on the level a real connection happens. I hope to learn something from communicating with other people here, and I hope to find other people in a similar situation to share thoughts and experiences with, to learn from.

I like to be on the computer (internet) because there I have the whole world infront of me, but I'm in control. And I like to watch movies and tv shows when I feel the need for some sort of (not-real) human connection and related emotions, and I also really like to just find information about whatever it is that I want to know more about. I like to learn stuff, and that can be about pretty much anything, but I don't have one special interest.

Other things I like, or think I would like, but never do, is to play sports (for the sake of the sport, not the team mates), travel to see new and interesting places, go hiking in the mountains, go running in the woods.

your love of learning i wonderful and will serve you well throughout your life. i also tend to be quite curious.
