Hello,

Can anyone relate to having these special interests? They involve thinking a lot about math/mathematical concepts and enjoying looking at art as well as art books. I don't do art as of now but may want to try with computer software someday. I'm not any good at drawing or painting.

If so, can you relate to not pursuing these interests b/c it didn't seem practical? Although I liked math I majored in physics b/c I thought it was more practical. The result was that I hated many of my courses and got a job that wasn't in physics anyway. Now I'm thinking about math again but not sure how. Also I'm not sure how an interest in art will help, other than maybe designing websites.

I haven't been here for a while. Right now I'm recovering from social interaction where, without giving detail, I feel like I did all the wrong things. I always feel terrible after situations like that. Part of why I'm in therapy is to work out coping strategies, ideally before social events and not after.
